Projects that survive the downturn are the ones that obsess over transparency—open-source code, regular audits, public treasury reports, and active governance forums. But the ghost protocol I encountered in the analysis had none of that. It was a placeholder. A void. And yet, that void is more common than we admit. How many DeFi projects, Layer 2 rollups, or NFT platforms claim to be "revolutionary" while hiding their team, their token unlocks, and their technical architecture behind a wall of marketing hype?
